Project Type: Design and/or Construction
Funding Type: Federal
Funding Amount: Up to $30,000, depending on the availability of funds in a given year.
Eligible Applicant and Activities
Eligible applicants include: Nonprofit organizations including, but not limited to, environmental justice networks, faith based organizations and those affiliated with religious institutions; federally recognized tribal governments; or tribal organizations or acting in cooperation with a local government.
Eligible activities include: Grants to strengthen community-based programs that engage overburdened communities and build partnerships to promote environmental wellbeing and improve public health. Can include variety of community projects, such as: Water System installations, Rainwater Harvesting, Stormwater Pollution reduction, education, water monitoring, etc.
Funding Cycle and Application Deadlines
Past RFP was in FY17 and was announced on January 30, 2017 with a closing date of February 10, 2017.
