Coastal Resiliency Grants

Funding Amount: Past projects funded ranged from $200,000 to $1,500,00.

Eligible Applicant and Activities
Eligible applicants include: Institutions of higher education, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, U.S. territories and states, Native American tribes, and local governments including counties, municipalities, and cities.

Eligible activities include: Build resilience through projects that conserve and restore sustainable ecosystem processes and functions and reduce the vulnerability of coastal communities and infrastructure from the impacts of extreme weather events, climate hazards, and changing ocean conditions.

Funding Cycle and Application Deadlines
Latest round closed March 7, 2018. However, the competition was canceled; notice of cancellation sent to applicants who submitted pre-proposals. Submit a pre-proposal by email to resilience.grants@noaa.gov. Full proposals will only be accepted from eligible applicants that received an invitation to submit a full proposal based on the strength of their pre-proposal.
