Funding Amount: Full or part- time AmeriCorps youth workforce costs, plus operating costs, up to $14k per worker.

Eligible Applicant and Activities
Eligible applicants include: Local & state governments, public or private organization acting in cooperation with a local government.

Eligible activities include: Program is designed to expand workforce development opportunities. Prioritized projects include:
• construction or physical improvements related to energy and water performance in economically disadvantaged communities,
• direct, sustained recycling and waste treatment activities,
• improvements of at-risk public lands or waterways (beyond general cleanup),
• creating awareness among economically disadvantaged communities of personal actions to benefit energy and water conservation/ efficiency and solid waste recycling,
• formal and informal green job training for economically disadvantaged people.

Funding Cycle and Application Deadlines
Must apply through State Commission. Last Application cycle closed May 17, 2018.

Funding Type: Private

Funding Amount: Grants up to $1M

Eligible Applicant and Activities
Eligible applicants include: Nonprofit organizations. Focus on Newark and nearby urban centers.

Eligible activities include: Funding for meeting basic needs, connecting people to jobs, building assets, and transforming communities. Prudential works to transform cities and revitalize communities by investing in systems and solutions that address challenges such as poor education outcomes, high crime and disinvestment.

Funding Cycle and Application Deadlines
Not accepting unsolicited proposals. Applicant should make initial contact with a brief letter to determine whether a more detailed proposal would be acceptable.
