Funding Amount: Grants average $35,000 over two-years.

Eligible Applicant and Activities
Eligible applicants include: Nonprofit organizations.

Eligible activities include: Energy and climate, marine preservation, clean drinking water, and urban sustainability (targeted primarily in the New York City region). General operating and project grants considered.

Funding Cycle and Application Deadlines
The Foundation will accept new LOIs on a rolling basis throughout the year via the online application system. Select applicants will then be invited to submit a full proposal online (see below for proposal description) to be considered at one of the Foundation's quarterly (March, June, September, and November) Board of Directors meetings.

Eligible activities include: The mission of the Environment Program is to enable communities to protect and manage wildlife habitat and create efficient built environments. Goals and Strategies include: Land Conservation, Wildlife & Energy Development, Strengthening the Conservation Field, and Environmental Stewardship in the Tri-State Area.

New Jersey Department of Community Affairs

Weatherization and Intergovernmental Program

Project Type: Construction
Funding Type: State

Funding Amount: Grants and Technical Assistance

Eligible Applicant and Activities
Eligible applicants include: Low-income occupants; community-based agencies assisting low-income occupied dwelling units.

Eligible activities include: Provides grants, technical assistance, and information tools to states, local governments, community action agencies, utilities, Indian tribes, and U.S. territories for their energy programs. The funding can be used to encourage installation of green infrastructure - such as green roofs - as part of the weatherization process.

Funding Cycle and Application Deadlines
Award Period:October 1 to September 30; July 1 to June 30.
